Last Updated: October 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the Steppin’ Out Travel website and participation in tours, travel experiences, social events, dining events, workshops, retreats, activities and related services offered, organised, promoted or facilitated by Steppin’ Out Travel.

By accessing our website, becoming a member, making a booking, attending an event or participating in any service offered by Steppin’ Out Travel, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

1. Our Services

Steppin’ Out Travel provides and promotes travel experiences, tours, social events, activities, workshops, retreats and related services.

Specific terms, conditions, cancellation policies or supplier requirements may apply to individual events, tours, travel experiences or activities. Where additional terms are provided at the time of booking, those terms will also apply.

2. Bookings

Bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed once all required booking information and payment have been received and confirmation has been issued.

You are responsible for ensuring that all information provided during the booking process is accurate, complete and up to date.

Steppin’ Out Travel reserves the right to decline a booking where necessary to comply with legal, operational or safety requirements.

2A. Partner Events and Third-Party Experiences

Some events, tours, travel experiences, workshops, retreats and activities promoted by Steppin’ Out Travel may be operated by independent third-party organisers, suppliers or partners.

Where Steppin’ Out Travel acts as a promoter, referral partner, booking facilitator or reseller, responsibility for the delivery of the relevant service remains with the applicable third-party provider unless otherwise stated.

The identity of the organiser or service provider will generally be disclosed within the event information or during the booking process.

Additional information regarding independent providers is contained in Clauses 11 and 15B of these Terms & Conditions.

2B. Membership and Community Participation

Steppin’ Out Travel operates a membership-based social and travel community.

Membership or participation in the Steppin’ Out Travel community does not guarantee attendance at any particular event, travel experience, activity, promotion or service.

Steppin’ Out Travel reserves the right to refuse, suspend or terminate membership, bookings or participation where:

  • A participant breaches these Terms & Conditions;

  • A participant engages in unsafe, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, harassing or disruptive behaviour;

  • A participant’s conduct negatively impacts other members, guests, suppliers or venues; or

  • Steppin’ Out Travel reasonably believes such action is necessary to protect participants, staff, suppliers, venues or the reputation of the business.

Any refund entitlement relating to suspension or termination shall be determined in accordance with the applicable booking conditions and Australian Consumer Law.

3. Payments

Prices and payment requirements will be displayed or communicated at the time of booking.

Unless otherwise stated, bookings must be paid in accordance with the payment terms applicable to the relevant event, experience, tour or service.

Prices may change for future bookings. However, confirmed bookings will generally remain subject to the agreed price unless otherwise permitted by law or the applicable booking conditions.

4. Cancellations, Refunds and Transfers

Cancellation, refund and transfer conditions vary depending on the type of event, tour, travel experience or activity.

Unless otherwise stated on the relevant booking page or event listing, the following conditions apply.

Social Events, Dining Events and Local Activities
  • More than fourteen (14) days before the event: Full refund less any non-refundable booking, processing or payment gateway fees.

  • Eight (8) to fourteen (14) days before the event: 50% refund of the ticket price.

  • Seven (7) days or less before the event: No refund.

  • Bookings may be transferred to another eligible person with the prior approval of Steppin’ Out Travel.

Tours, Retreats and Travel Experiences
  • More than thirty (30) days before departure or commencement: Full refund less any non-refundable deposits, supplier charges, booking fees or payment processing fees.

  • Fifteen (15) to thirty (30) days before departure or commencement: 50% refund of monies paid, less any non-refundable supplier charges.

  • Fourteen (14) days or less before departure or commencement: No refund unless otherwise required by law.

No Shows

If you fail to attend an event, activity, tour, travel experience or service without prior notice, no refund, credit or transfer will be provided.

Event Cancellation by Steppin’ Out Travel

If Steppin’ Out Travel cancels an event, participants may be offered one of the following:

  • A full refund;

  • A credit towards a future event;

  • Transfer to another event; or

  • An alternative arrangement considered reasonable in the circumstances.

The remedy offered may depend on the nature of the booking, supplier arrangements and applicable legal obligations.

Event Changes

Minor changes to venues, presenters, schedules, activities, itineraries or suppliers do not automatically entitle participants to a refund.

Where a significant change occurs, Steppin’ Out Travel will communicate the change as soon as reasonably practicable and may offer an appropriate remedy based on the circumstances.

Third-Party Suppliers

Certain events, tours, travel experiences and activities may be operated by independent third-party providers.

Where a third-party provider applies its own cancellation, refund or transfer conditions, those conditions may apply in addition to, or instead of, the provisions set out in these Terms & Conditions. Such conditions will generally be disclosed at the time of booking.

Exceptional Circumstances

Requests for refunds outside the stated cancellation periods may be considered at the sole discretion of Steppin’ Out Travel.

Supporting documentation may be requested where appropriate.

Any goodwill refund, credit or transfer offered outside these conditions shall not create a precedent or ongoing entitlement.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this clause excludes, restricts or modifies any rights, guarantees or remedies available under Australian Consumer Law.

4A. Information Sharing for Bookings

By attending an event, participants acknowledge they may incidentally appear in photographs or recordings taken in public or group settings.

If you do not wish to appear in promotional material, please notify Steppin’ Out Travel or the event organiser before the event wherever reasonably practicable.

While reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate such requests, exclusion from all group photography or recordings cannot be guaranteed.
